The Farmhouse at Burnville Farm – large, slate-roofed, ‘listed’ (with at least one leaded window for the connoisseur) – is in classic story-book situation amid barns and animals; own enclosed, secluded, good-sized garden (lawn, stream, beech trees, barbecue), 20 yards away.
Inside, small slate-floored hall; beamed, comfortable living room (CD player) with ornamental fireplace leading to large sunroom with pine furniture, pot plants; beamed slate-floored dining room with big granite open fireplace, pine dresser and large dining table/backed benches; fitted kitchen (dishwasher, microwave) with ancient dough trough as scrub-topped table, pine dresser; wide quarry-tiled passage for boots, etc., and playing; laundry room (washing machine, tumble drier, freezer) leading to downstairs shower-room (suite). Upstairs, four bedrooms – one double (beds unzippable to make twin), one with double bed plus single divan (very large and lovely, some steps and distance from the loo!), one single (washbasin), and one with two sets of bunks (one 2’6″); bathroom (suite) and separate loo.
